Wow, I never knew there would be so many folks so emotionally attached to their TV's. I knew there were console fanboys but TV fanboys? Wow, just... WOW.
It looks great and I certainly hope that it plays well. I love the dark tones and would love to rip the town apart. Here's to looking forward to this one guys.
And I suspect this will be "good" also. Nothing to write home about but good nonetheless. I loved the first Duke due to it being out there and wild but now too many games have been made in similar ways and with being able to bang hookers then beat them for your money back in GTA, tipping a stripper just doesn't hold the same interest anymore... lol

I try and stay away from the hype. Now buzz on the other hand, I listen more to that than I do hype. Hype is corporate while buzz is general population of fanbased. I can see where hype would hurt a game but buzz just makes me curious.
I was under the impression that Lost Odyssey used the UE3? As for your opinion on the others, yes, I agree. I would rather see a new engine used than just another UE3 game. I like what Epic has done for some games but many companies license the engine for a mediocre game and then sell it based on the use of the same engine that powered Gears or UT...
Yeah, they did just release 4.0 but this one is just to fix a couple issues found in the last update. More maintenance than anything else.
As with the PS3, if they do not push motion controls on us for every game and allow the game developers to give it out as an option to the game then fine. I can stand for more diverse game play and often encourage it. I love games like High Velocity Bowling on the PS3 but then I also love games like Lair that allow you to use the motion control or you can turn it off and go strictly analog. Given the OPTION makes it all worth the effort.

I think it is safe to say they will show more than a simple teaser. Sure it might be considered a teaser trailer but it will show more than just a glimpse. My guess is that they are going to try and use GOWIII as a show stealer and a momentum builder. They have great games coming this year but they could use a boost to help the momentum into next year. God of War is definitely the way to go since it will be one of the biggest titles to hit in 2009 if in fact it comes out then.
55 disagrees in just a few minutes. I guess the popular vote agrees that you fail in the area of console gaming observations. Try again and the next time, get it right and try less hard at being a fanboy. This is great news for Konami. In general, it takes a million copies sold to recoup the developement costs. They did it in one region and in one week and now anything else is icing on the cake.

Every gaming console loses money for the company but what they make back in lifetime game sales makes up for said losses. The PS3 is no different than any other console before it.
I have a hard time believing them until real proof hits. I also would have to say it makes it harder to trust a rumor from a guy named Gassy Snake... I mean come on, have any of you heard or smelled a snake fart?
Both consoles are great. Despite hardware issues and delay in games, both consoles have their pros. That is why I encourage all to own both. If you can do so, it is the cure all for fanboyism when you can come to appreciate the games over the hardware.
And good for those that want MGS4 and the 80gb model. It is truly the greatest bundle this gen. Great console and a great game. People should not pass it up.
Any console that nears 20 million sold will get what we call shovel-ware. Look at the Wii, it has tons of it and the 360 has a bit of it too. The more consoles you sell, the more shovel-ware you get. It makes it tough to find the gems amidst the trash but that does not mean that good games are not there. Games like this are trash and should be ignored at all cost.

I would buy it for that since it will be cheaper and have free online play but poor me, I have an old PC at the moment. I will definitely be buying it for the 360 because I love zombie games.
I find the new look refreshing. I also hope that Croft and her new motion capture movements are as impressive as they say. With updated graphics, decent game play and now more real physics, this game could be a definite winner.
They do not include the game pics yet and will fill out rather nicely. If you look at the 360 gamercard minus the game pics, it would be lame looking too. Of course, IGN wouldn't have thought of this since they bash the PS3 for about everything that Sony tries to do in favor of the folks playing the games. I think this is great. People like the gamercard and score system that the 360 has. Having it ont he PS3 is just a little more icing on the cake.
